Saint Charbel Icon
The icon of Saint Charbel the Miracle Worker is written using the egg tempera method and captures Saint Charbel’s revered presence.
He is shown wearing a black monastic habit, gazing downward with a serene and pious expression. His halo is depicted in 24-karat gold.
Saint Charbel is renowned across all of Christianity, Orthodoxy, and some Muslim communities for his miraculous healings, phenomena at his tomb, and inspiring visions.
It is created on a Linden wood board, on which cloth was placed. This cloth is a memorial of St. Veronica’s veil which reflected the face of Jesus on the way to Calvary. The board was primed with twelve layers of gesso symbolizing the twelve Apostles. The icon was written using natural dry pigments mixed with white wine, water, and egg yolk and then refined with 24-carat gold, a symbol of the presence of God.
This icon makes a meaningful gift for anyone seeking Saint Charbel’s intercession, especially for those facing challenges or in need of miracles.
